Es investigadora y profesora del Centro de Estudios Internacionales del Instituto Universitario de Lisboa y Coordinadora Académica del Máster Conjunto en Relaciones Internacionales y Diplomacia. Dirige la Cátedra de Interregionalismo y Gobernanza Global en el Instituto Europeo de Estudios Internacionales (Salamanca/Estocolmo) y es profesora invitada en la Universidad de Macao. Tiene amplia experiencia en la coordinación de proyectos internacionales de investigación y ha publicado extensamente en revistas científicas y libros. De 2020 a 2022, también fue asesora de la Secretaría de Estado de Internacionalización del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores portugués.
Directora: Mónica Velasco Pufleau es Directora de la Cátedra sobre Relaciones UE- ALC del IEEI desde marzo de 2021. Tiene un doctorado en Derecho, especialidad Estudios Internacionales, por la Universidad de Barcelona (España) y ha sido investigadora postdoctoral en la Universidad de Luxemburgo (Gran Ducado de Luxemburgo). Sus intereses de investigación incluyen el papel del Parlamento Europeo en la defensa de los derechos fundamentales en la UE y sus relaciones con terceros países, el compromiso de los parlamentos con las cuestiones de derechos humanos, la diplomacia parlamentaria, la privacidad y la protección de datos personales, y las relaciones exteriores de la UE (ORCID: 0009-0000-3514-1186).

Director: Dr. Miriam Costa. She is a researcher and lecturer at the Center for International Studies of the University Institute of Lisbon and Academic Coordinator of the Joint Master in International Relations and Diplomacy. She holds the Chair of Interregionalism and Global Governance at the European Institute of International Studies (Salamanca/Stockholm) and is a visiting professor at the University of Macau. She has extensive experience in coordinating international research projects and has published extensively in scientific journals and books. From 2020 to 2022, she was also advisor to the Secretary of State for Internationalization of the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Director: Mónica Velasco-Pufleau is Director of the EU-LAC Relations Chair at the EIIS since March 2021. She holds a PhD in Law – International Studies from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and has been Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Luxembourg (Luxembourg). Her research interests include the role of the European Parliament in upholding fundamental rights in the EU and its relations with third countries, parliamentary engagement on human rights issues, parliamentary diplomacy, privacy and personal data protection, and EU’s external relations (ORCID: 0009-0000-3514-1186).
