The Chair of Geopolitics and Strategic Studies is dedicated to understanding and shaping the strategic knowledge needed to navigate a rapidly transforming international system. In an era defined by digital disruption, cyberspace, and technological innovation, traditional concepts of power, security, and diplomacy are evolving. Disruptive technologies—from artificial intelligence to advanced cyber capabilities—are redefining state strategy, economic competition, and global governance, while Big Tech companies increasingly act as independent geopolitical actors influencing policies, norms, and international decision-making.

The Chair serves as a leading platform for interdisciplinary research, policy dialogue, and education at the intersection of geopolitics, strategy, and technology. By exploring the complex interactions between states, private actors, civil society, and digital infrastructures, it seeks to equip scholars, practitioners, and policymakers with the insights to anticipate and respond to emerging global challenges.

 Strategic Objectives:

  1. Examine the impact of disruptive technologies and cyberspace on state power, strategy, and global security.
  2. Analyze the geopolitical role of Big Tech and digital platforms in shaping global governance, norms, and international competition.
  3. Investigate evolving security and strategic paradigms in a technology-driven world, including cyber, economic, and energy security.
